New Washi Bento

Hello! I'm back from a long weekend trip to NYC that was full of fun, good eats and great bento shopping! I'll post trip pictures soon; for now I'd like to share today's crab and tobiko sushi bento with teriyaki octopus, takoyaki, baby lettuce, spinach, and shiso. The new lavender-colored washi paper is from Mitsuwa, which is becoming a required stop when we are in the NY/NJ area!

Sharing the same dreamy lavender color are these super-fragrant hyacinths:

Other fun discoveries from the NY visit: this new notebook, perfect for jotting down bento ideas mid-Metro commute:

A new bento set! Found at the euphoria-inducing Kinokuniya Japanese bookshop near Bryant Park:

Along with these lovely books:

And notecards:

More on the NYC visit soon!

Dear sherimiya,
Aw, so glad you liked this post...bentoing and blogging is like the most fun hobby ever, especially with wonderful bento buddies like you to share new discoveries with :) On that note, these new boxes coaxed my general affection for Kutusitanyanko into full-blown infatuation! Must find out more about her adventures in Paris, the cute red babushka, and the fluffy tan kitten who sometimes is along for the fun!
