halloween kitten bento

Hi bento pals! A quick post for today with a bento of farmer's market greens, edible flowers, tangy green tomatoes and in keeping with Halloween, a tiny nori kitten peeking out from behind a baby yellow pepper! Her pink nose is pickled ginger.

Rounding out lunch: teriyaki saury, asparagus and maple-cut polenta...
A cute hand painted Halloween pumpkin seen at the farmer's market
Our crepe myrtle turned electrically bright in the last few days and has started to drop its vibrant leaves...
I've been enjoying all the cute and spooky holiday bentos this week...Happy Halloween!

Your nori kitten is like hiding behind a pumpkin, so cute! Love the set with the beautiful fall leaves. Your farmer's market is a great place to explore ... never saw hand painted pumpkin before :)

Hi Lia! Thanks, that's the effect I hoped she'd have :) The leaves are really bright this year and stood out even more against today's gray, rainy sky. See you at your beautiful blog...

I love the beautiful fall leaves and the cute kitten. :)
I feel jealous about your farmer's market...so many fresh and nice veggies and fruits, hardly find one here. Cute hand painted Halloween pumpkin...first time see this!

The nori kitten is so cute. Did you use something as filling for the nori, or just the sheets themselves?

Love your black kitty standing guard over his pumpkin. So miniature in scale and big in adorableness. A real sweet touch to the season in your bento.

I am thoroughly enjoying your fall colors and today's bento. I am thinking I must plant a crepe myrtle here. The sweet kitten reminds me of my black cat Lena. Hope you have a great Halloween!

Hi Robin, so glad to read this! Here in the DC area, crepe myrtle provides beauty through the seasons, and even in winter its stark black buds are interesting and attract birds!

Hope to see Lena on your blog or Flickr someday and Happy Halloween :D!

Hope the wind can bring me some of your crepe myrtle leaves here :D, I can imagine that they can be a wonderful yet super cheap photo prop just like the one on your pict hehehehe. I really love the black cat pick, it's really cute :D
