Lavender Roses Bento

A simple bento inspired by two lovely rose bouquets my hubby brought home, with the palest lavender and white-pink blooms.

Inside the bento, a special lobster salad and seaweed roll wrapped in pink soy paper from the newly opened M Sushi in Reston. Radish sprouts, romaine, cilantro chicken shu mai, stir fried beech mushrooms with carrots, peas and the mache lettuce I'm currently addicted to also inside.
Handmade flower pick next to wasabi leaf:
And a happy elephant:

Is a pretty bento! Jenn, pink soy paper and lavender rose are awesome! I saw the lavender rose before at the florist but apparently they use some coloring technique to turn white rose to lavender rose ;)

Dear Susan, Hi! Your comments are really a pick-me-up to read on a Monday morning! I love lobster--is it part of the seafood bounty where you live in Hawaii?

Bentobird, your soft lavender bento is just as showstopping as your vibrant indigo violet ones. This one calls to mind romance and spring. What a beautiful inspiration from your sweet hubs! Love, as always, your photo gallery. Thank you for taking me along :)

Hi Sheri! So sweet to have you visit with such thoughtful comments...I think we are both waiting expectantly for spring and looking for new signs of color and life...in just one month, so much will be budding. Really looking forward to sharing that seasonal transition--and celebration--with you!

beautiful plays on pastel tones here, and the wasabi leaf is simply genius! (gorgeous flower pick, too.) the roll ingredients sound delectable, and combined with flowers from your hubby? ... sounds like a perfect evening :-)
