beef bulgogi bento

 
Hi and happy Friday--have you also had a very busy week? Lunch is savory beef bulgogi over scallion-accented brown rice, with Japanese pickled ginger, mushrooms and flowering broccolini. For dessert: vanilla yogurt with mango "butterflies", a garden violet (they are popping up everywhere right now!)
 
The lilac is starting to bloom and its scent carries down the length of the garden...

Hello Robin! Yes, and carries such a scent-scent of the past. How fun to come in from clearing the main garden bed for veggie plantings and find your sweet comment. Hope you are enjoying every bit of today in our glorious region :)
