wine country delights

Hi bento pals! Long time, no post--we are on vacation in Northern California and soaking up the incredibly beautiful scenery and spirit of this place. Also taking a million pictures and staying at a place with very slow internet service, so I'll let this one bento represent some of the delights of this area thus far...

It contains a yummy dungeness crab and shrimp salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread from a great restaurant near the San Francisco Ferry Building, cherries from the magical Sebastopol Farmer's Market and purple radish and tender lettuce from the same spot. Hope you are all having a great week, I'll have much to share when I return from this trip!

The weather has been glorious - a bit warm over here...but I'm sure it's a bit cooler nearer the coast. Such a beautiful bento - so glad to hear you are enjoying your visit. Can't wait to see more.

Hi Carol! Amazing is the word for this place, no exaggeration...hope you are having a great week, is it very hot in NYC? We took a two plus hour hike through beautiful hills today, mid 80's but no humidity so it felt great!

Hi Sheri! Oh, so lucky you are to be here, its truly delightful and we've met so many nice folks.

Japantown in SF was a great time yesterday, Jamison had the first really great quality ramen soup he's had since leaving Japan in 1996! Daiso...well, how cool is 1.50 for a shiny new bento box?! Have a great Thursday :D

Did you get to visit Davis near Sacramento?, I lived in University housing there for four years in the 1960's, great little campus. I'm with you in spirit touring the wine country, Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino . Thanks for firing up my memory banks. LOL Carole
