spring greens and flowers bento

Hi bento pals! Today's bento was a light snack of a lunch for hubby and myself, a blend of arugula and pea shoots, garden violets and a tangy goat cheese heart topped with walnuts and honey. A mini pastry shell holds three juicy raspberries. A spicy Dijon vinaigrette was added to the greens after I snapped this picture...

So many pretty spring flowers are blooming right now, each day brings a new member of the floral parade:

Virginia bluebells

Korean spice bush has a wonderful scent that travels on the spring breeze:

Romantic pink dicentra

Magical pink-purple redbud is in bloom

The violets that grow wild around our little pond have spread and multiplied! Right now it feels like a fairy garden with all of the jewel toned nodding blossoms...

Have a lovely upcoming weekend, friends!

What a bevy of beauties in your spring garden. I tried years ago to get bleeding heart to grow, but it never worked. I am enjoying each and every image! Honey dijon and spicy arugula, walnuts and goat cheese. Perfect combos ;-) Happy weekend, I am so ready for it and look forward to your next post. Cheers!

Hi there Robin! Oh, so glad you liked these pics, I love this bright period of spring with new colors bursting forth. Sorry about the bleeding heart, its no fun when a plant one loves just won't take :( They seem to like dappled shade here...

Enjoying the radiant sunshine today as a big rain is predicted for Saturday. I'm sure some tasty weekend meals are on the agenda at your house, looking forward to reading all about them at What About the Food!

Must try this goats cheese and walnut combo, delish! Flowers are beautiful, you are ahead of us :)

Hi Lexi! It's so easy and delish. A jot of honey unites the tangy goat cheese and earthy walnut flavors nicely. Have a super weekend, may more flowers open across the pond so we can both enjoy them!
