new little dishes bento

Hi bento friends! I'm finally unpacking goodies from my recent NYC visit, and based this bento on some new little dishes I found on my trip...had a great time combing Chinatown and other downtown locales for them!
Today's bento from the leafy green top: snow pea shoots, fennel and orange salad, Thai spicy braised eggplant, a brown rice, radish pickle and chili shrimp trio, and mochi with adzuki beans and some Persian grapes.

This pale pink "Eden" rose has a wonderfully delicate scent...

Friday's almost here--wishing you a happy one!

I do like how you put the little dishes inside the box. It gives it an elegant feel unlike my trailer trash ways :D

Love these little dishes - and love the kitty stalking through the flowers too!

Thank you Lexi! The catmint pictured here can incite feline fascination and intoxication...its interesting how some are highly affected by it (the black and white cutie) and others indifferent to it (the sweet tabby)!

I love the use of these small dishes in the bento box. I am still learning how to seperate the different items in my bento boxes, and this is great inspiration. So lovely, bentobird!

Just curious, Bentobird ~ have you thought of publishing a book on your Bento creations? They are beautiful and just like artpieces to me ^.~ If you do, I'll be the first to support ^.~
