Passage to India Bento

I was craving a dose of spice, color and Indian radiance amid today's gray December skies. This bento was my escape to a sunny land! It features a naan elephant surrounded by an assortment of Indian treats: tandoori chicken, palak paneer with spinach and fresh green herbs, a naan "paisley" with melted butter and cilantro, yellow peppers and asparagus, a solitary pakora with yogurt, ginger mango chutney, kiwi slices, papaya and a skewer of colorful Indian sweets!

And for just fun, flora and fauna in the colors of a sunny place:

Thanks so much, Lia! I'm just learning about universe of Indian sweets...I believe these pink ones are Bengali style and were made with milk and sugar--very rich!

I always love the idea of putting various and different "world cuisine" into bento box. Sometimes I feel that making bento is like doing a "Japanese-zation" in our food. Yours inspires me to make an Indonesian bento with Indonesian food that I love so much *my genuine food* hehehe. Thanks for sharing this great idea! :D

Ah that looks like it has come out of some Bollywood Movie. I have a feeling the food will start to sing and dance right now :P
