Hi friends! Today's bento is in a traditional Shokado format. Tuna sushi, enoki mushroom-fennel stir fry (what a delicious combination!), arugula with ginger dressing and kiwi, banana and cara cara orange fill the little containers.
How was your Valentine's Day? Hubby brought me some lovely soft coral roses, two of them pictured here with a cute speckled forelle pear...
Love those beautiful roses - lucky you :)
ReplyDeleteAlso loving the bento - the blue shell is so pretty, and the enoki mushrooms in particular are making my mouth wearing!
Is it a pear? It is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses too... romantic husbands are so IN ^_^
:)
oh ... and I am just admiring your bento. Feast for the eyes... would keep looking until my belly protests :P
Have a sweet day Jenn!
Hi Lexi, delightful to have you visit! Enoki are really a treat, I hope to cook with them more in the coming year...
ReplyDeleteHiya Lil! Yes, its a pear, a type called Forelle with such appealing freckles! This was a light little lunch...I think something heartier will be in the works for dinner.
ReplyDeleteHave a sweet day, too!
So pink! I love the box and all of your bentos so much. ^^
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Aiko!! ^^
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty shokado! I like the collection of mini dishes in there.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a sweet and romantic Valentines day celebration to me! The little pear is a delight!
We don't celebrate it big here. But guess what? We have a group big hugs at home in the morning hehehe ... :D
ReplyDeleteLove your bento today with a beautiful wooden box and each of the four sections looks so elegant!
Jenn, your hubby is so sweet! Those roses are beautiful (^.^)
Thanks Sheri! Fun to pull out my collection of little dishes to put this bento together...I have the feeling that I may, just may, be collecting a few more once in range of Japantown! Have a fantastic Thursday :D
ReplyDeleteDear Lia, reading about your family always inspires me! As you said so beautifully on your blog, love is to be celebrated every day of the year.
