leek dumpling bento

Hi friends! Today's bento features tasty Korean leek dumplings, decorated with a scallion heart and purple Okinawan sweet potato. Herb broiled fish, snow peas and yam slices round out the top half of lunch, while a cheerful assortment of raspberries, cara cara orange slices and kiwi lend a sweet finish...

We picked up the dumplings yesterday at H-Mart...some sights from my fav market, emporium of all things Korean and delicious:

Happy Valentine's Day! May it be a day full of warm friendship and love...

  3. Hiya sweet Robin! It was a sunny (if chilly) day here and I wanted to celebrate that with color :) Yep, that is a thin wisp of scallion which I've recently discovered can be fashioned into many shapes :) Happy Valentine's Day with your dearest...

  9. Hi Lia!! Happy Valentine's Day--hope you and hubby have a very loving and happy celebration--hugs!

Yes, H-Mart has a huge variety of store-made kimchis, this time we bought radish and cabbage types. Hmmm, maybe its time for a kimchi fried rice bento soon :)!

  10. Happy Valentine´s Day Jenn! So sweet bento! The leaf-cuts look like clouds ... and the heart around one just makes me think about a Brazilian saying "to be in the clouds" when in love ^_^. Silly stuff right?
