Red Salmon Heart Bento

Red is the name of the game in hapa bento's B.O.M.B. event this month--honoring Valentine's Day and heart health awareness! This bento features a heart-shaped salmon cake made with red salmon, red onions, and red peppers, seasoned with fresh ginger, garam masala, pureed tomato-red chili vegetable
curry and red cayenne pepper. The mini red pepper holds mango-ginger chutney; enokis, heart-shaped cukes, snow peas and baby romaine round things out.

The sweets sidecar contains pineapple, nectarine slices, blackberries and a mocha brownie topped with guava-chocolate candies.

This rose bouquet has been a highlight of my week so far! Each bloom is an intensely scented globe of peach, gold, and pink:

I love red color, the salmon cake is full of red things! Plus beautiful warm red roses and fruits. These photos have my heart warm red.

I love this post! Can look at those roses forever. My favorite flowers...esp the scented ones..and I love the heirloom ones that seem to overbloom with myriad petals upon petals! I am sooo ready for my bushes to come out of dormancy...
Your bento is superb as well, and the stuffed pepper is charming :) I bet the salmon heart cake was delish! Lovely, lovely.

oh really great colors! I love the red-tones in the photo, nice idea with the roses, too. They are so beautiful!!! <3 And I want that mocha brownie so bad! :D

I'm not really a sweet tooth but the moccha brownie with candies (I thought they were blueberries) looks SO cute!

What did you do with the enokii-take? You didn't eat them just like that, did you?
