crab ramen bento
Friday's bento was simple but full of pleasing umami tastes with ramen noodles tossed with crab, scallion, baby tomatoes and Japanese eggplant pickles along with a ginger dressing (my favorite, Q-P brand).
Thanks so much, Lyndsey! We really love this dressing--it duplicates the taste of really good dressings at fancy Japanese places, such as when you order a lovely shrimp-avocado salad. Have a beautiful week!
I can almost taste those little tomatoes! I grew up in Sonoma County and just moved to Seattle last year. I loved the super sweet tomatoes I used to grow in the California sun. Can't be beat! I'll have to try tomato with crab because that sounds wonderful.
Another beautiful bento that makes me smile when I look at it. Good to know what's your favorite brand of ginger dressing, thanks!

ReplyDeleteHi Kat! Thanks for sharing these lovely comments, and I can vouch for the flavor combo of tomato and crab...maybe time to make some cioppino :)
ReplyDeleteWow, those pickles are an amazing colour! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Lexi! They really are unique, glad hubby noticed them in the Japanese market. Have a great day!
