Roasted Veggie Bento Two

Here's my second entry for hapa bento's B.O.M.B. contest this month! This bento contains roasted sweet potatoes, radicchio, and from hapa's amazing recipes, sweet miso roast chicken and roasted baby bok choy. On the sweet side: bananas roasted with honey and a blood orange wedge. Debra's bok choy recipe includes a honey-sesame oil-salt dip that combined with the tender but slightly bitter bok choy made this dish off-the-charts yummy!

I found these leaping bunny chopsticks at Lotte Plaza this weekend:

Along with these juicy blood oranges:

Hi babykins,
Would love to see your bunny collection as part of your beautiful bentos! I highly recommend these recipes--hubby and I ate a couple of pounds of baby bok choy with dinner this way and loved it!

All I can say is Bee-U-T-FUL!!!!
I really really love the sweepingly natural look of this bento, and the dark red of the blood orange is stunning. WHen I first peeling mine, I got a shock because I forgot they were the blood ones! You take such lovely shots. What is your camera?

Roasted bananas!!! I'm gonna do it too. :)

Lovely presentation as always. Beautiful interpretation of "roasties". (word borrowed from sherimiya)

Hi sherimiya!
Don't blood oranges have a kind of vibrant majesty? We were thrilled to find them at an excellent price at Lotte this weekend. For a while, Trader Joe's carried the MOST amazing organic blood orange juice from Sicily in these beautiful glass bottles.
It became our favorite mixer ever...until like many a TJ's product we'd fallen in love with, it left their shelves. For a short while we spent silly amounts buying it by the case from an online distributor!
So glad you liked these photos, thank you! I used a Nikon E430.
