thank you, Robin!

Thanks to my dear foodie pal Robin, a most talented and creative cook and the author one of my very favorite food blogs, What About the Food, for sharing a lovely bottle of walnut oil from Limerock farms with me! This gorgeous, amber oil made possible a wonderful snack today of radicchio drizzled with walnut oil (the bitter, delightful leaves wrapped around triple creme brie, fresh figs and walnuts). Yum.

Beautiful organic popcorn from Limerock was also included in this sweet gift...we had some with walnut oil and a little butter: truly good! Stove popped popcorn is a fav snack of mine...

Hope everyone is having a great week!

  1. What a great gift from Robin! The snack looks great, a nice touch with the walnut oil. We love popcorn for a snack too. We get it from an Amish market near us. I always make it stove top just like my dad and grandpa taught me how to do. I like using the organic virgin coconut oil to pop my corn in.

How are things going with you? I'll be off for Christmas break in 3 days! Can't wait to catch up.

  4. Hiya Lynds! It really was a great gift, and I'm happy that you two are blog buddies, as well! Organic virgin coconut oil? Now THAT sounds inspired! I'd like to somehow build on that island flavor with some curry powder and or cinnamon, yum!

Glad your break is just on the horizon--how long will it be? Are you guys travelling or staying in beautiful Sarasota?
