Hi friends! As many of you know, Jamison and I are preparing our home for sale, and today I had fun styling my bathroom with a variety of new and old items. I tried to bring my bentoist tendency to build on color themes to bear not on a small box of food, but a whole room (and beyond this one, several others!)
This new shower curtain with cheerful blue birds was the starting point...it echoes the soft turquoise of early 70's tiles (which I've loved and will miss):
More blue birds...
This antique Redouté rose print was an eBay find from several years ago. It adds vibrant color and blue butterflies to the room and a nifty place to hang delicate necklaces. Love the exotic rose names in careful French script on this print almost as much as the sweetly bright flowers...
Another antique French print, this one by avian artist François Nicolas Martinet
Japanese silk container in favorite colors...
....and some favorite necklaces
Wishing you a happy start to the week...

ReplyDeleteYou have such an eye for detail, Jenn - your home is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having fun. I love th shower curtain, and prints...well I like it all actually. Your tile in the shower looks just like mine...dating back 1960. :)
ReplyDeleteI do love birds, Bobo! It does have some really cute features, I hope we'll find much to love in our new "nest"--hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Yenny dear!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol! Thanks...I found it at Home Goods this weekend, a lucky thing :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynds hon. You are always so sweet and encouraging!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. I'm sure your home will sell in a flash, with your elegant, warm, homey touch. You'll have a fantastic time decorating your new home as well; and I look forward to seeing it develop.
ReplyDeleteYour home is gorgeous! The colors are perfect, you have such a great eye!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheri, such nice comments, really appreciate them. I do hope we will be able to sell quickly and move out West soon. Have a great evening!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Susan!
ReplyDeleteHi Lexi! How are things? Thanks for your kind words!
ReplyDeleteI have no gift for home decoration. You inspire me. Those that visit your home will not only feel peace and warmth but the love of the occupants. That alone will influence the aura of the home the next tenants will inherit. What a gift you provide dear Jenn.
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! So nice to "see" you here, I've missed talking to this rather crazy week! I'm glad you liked my room...it was fun to try to look at it with fresh eyes and fresh potentiality.
ReplyDeleteWe ARE making progress and should be, post Thanksgiving travels, ready to let our home find its new occupants. Flying over What About the Food now! Hugs, J.
