  3. Jenn, I really like it's simplicity. How do you always have such beautiful blossoms to add to your bentos? I am waiting for my plumeria to bloom! :D

  4. Hi there Lyndsey! ~thank you :D

I do love flowers, huh! Found the garlic blossoms at my local Asian supermarket and plucked the vinca and forsythia from the yard--they are such bright late winter/early spring stalwarts.

Hope all is well with you, will enjoy the plumeria pics to come!

  15. Your cheery water colors and vibrant blossoms are brightening up my very cold and grey day, bits of snow on the mountains on this coast. Beautiful warm combination of the ginger and savory sesame contrast the sweetness of the prawns! NOM! Another winning bento Jenn!

  16. That looks delicious! I'm curious about these garlic blossoms...are you growing your own garlic or can you find this in a grocery? and what do garlic blossoms taste like?

  18. Hi Carol! Thanks so much :D I found the garlic blossoms at a large Korean/Asian supermarket nearby; they have a wonderful zingy but subtle shallot-garlic taste. I wonder if Chinatown might be a source in the NY area?
