gorgonzola dolce and black fig bento

Hi bento pals! As is often the case for me, this bento was inspired by colors. My color-inspiration starting point today was a nifty zippered bag made of recycled materials (its perfect for storing baran)...love the vibrant deep blue and red-orange details:
Today's bento features toasted Italian bread with mild Gorgonzola dolce and slices of black figs, a made-for-each other combination! A melange of baby orange tomatoes and sliced green-and yellows with a wild zebra pattern and a perfectly ripe white peach lent bright late-summer flavor...
Squirrels are in frisky overdrive right now, diving and leaping acrobatically through tree branches and running around on highly motivated acorn missions...had to include one in my bento (well, sort of!):
Have a great weekend and safe travels to those enjoying a long Labor Day celebration. We are taking a little road trip a few hours south of here...curious to see what we'll find!
